About This Print

Source: 44 Modern Japanese Print Artists, Gaston Petit, Kodansha International Ltd., 1973, p. 202-203
"By 1971 he reached the point of no return.  With the perfect placement of the egg form, all other known references have disappeared.  Of importance is the spatial tension which has a totally new reading.  We cannot live and breathe in that space as we did in his former works.  Curved lines float at the horizon, suffused with lyricism."
